How-To

Casual Penguins Hawaiian Shirt

In the spirit of Open Source, Casual Penguins allows you to completely customize as much, or as little of your shirt that you want.

Graphics

If you don't want to change the graphics, that is fine.  Just find the graphics pattern that you like.  Currently pattern-colorwave is our most popular graphical design.

If you want to change the graphics in some way, you can.  Head over to the Casual Tux github project.  Find the pattern you like, customize it, and off you go.

Note: If you are going to be distributing the graphics, please abide by the license and give proper attribution.

On to the next step ...

Fabric

Once you have your graphical design, it's time to print it on fabric.

If you have picked out one of our unmodified graphical designs, we have those already ready to print at our Spoonflower Design Collections.  Our most popular collection is colorwave.

If you have customized your graphic, we still recommend Spoonflower to get your fabric printed.

For shirts we recommend the following Spoonflower fabrics

If you have your own favorite place to print designs on fabric, feel free to use them.

Note: If you are going to allow others to buy the fabric with the Casual Tux graphics on them, please abide by the license and give proper attribution.

On to the next step ...

Make It

Now that you have your fabric, it's time to make your shirt.

Casual Penguins has open sourced it's shirt patterns for Men and Women, XS to 3XL.  That doesn't mean you have to use their patterns.  You can use your favorite shirt pattern.  But we didn't want a pattern to be a barrier to anyone.

Note1: If you are going to sell the shirts that have Casual Tux graphics on them, please abide by the license and give proper attribution.

Note2: If you are going to sell the shirts, you cannot imply that Casual Penguins made the shirt.  You need to have your own brand name that will not get mixed up with Casual Penguins.  Example: You cannot brand them as Casual Penguin.  As long as it is clear that you, or your brand made them, then you can give all the attribution that you want.

On to the next step ...

Enjoy It

It took alot of work.  Enjoy your shirt, scarf, pajamas, or whatever you created.
